Group: 4+ · Where: Outdoors · Materials: None · Skills: speed, strategy, teamwork

Two teams face each other in parallel lines, at least 30 feet apart. When the first player steps forward to start the challenge, all players on the opposing team hold out their hands, palms up.

The challenger then decides whether to slap the same player’s hand three times, alternate between two different players, or slap three different players’ hands. With each slap, they say one of the words “coffee,” “sugar,” “tea.” After the last word, “tea,” the challenger has to run back to their own team as fast as possible, while the player touched last tries to catch them before they reach their group.

If the challenger is caught, they join the opposing team. If not, the chasing player has to join the challenger’s team. The sprint duels alternate between the teams, and the players take turns challenging in a set order. The game continues until one team has caught all its opponents.
