Make Pulse possible
Young people grow up with more pressure, more screen time and less guidance. Pulse gives the adults around them ideas and material, free. You make that possible.
Pulse is mission work
We do this work full-time, as missionaries: Esther Penner, and Andy and Ana Fronius. A personal circle of friends carries us, through prayer and regular support via VDM. Join the team that makes Pulse possible.
Answers to common questions
What does my support do?
It carries the missionaries behind Pulse, and they build Pulse: everything free, for youth leaders, parents and educators, with thousands of young people behind them. And it helps build the vision of Pulse being available across Europe and beyond, in many languages, including English.
Can I give from the US?
Yes. The VDM, our German mission agency, works with the D. M. Stearns Missionary Fund, a 501(c)(3) in Pennsylvania. Gifts through the Fund are tax deductible in the US, and the Fund forwards them to the VDM without fees.
Make your check payable to “D. M. Stearns Missionary Fund” and mail it to: D. M. Stearns Missionary Fund, P.O. Box 1578, North Wales, PA 19454. Add a separate note with the designation “416 – VDM, Germany, AC670000 Fronius” for Andy and Ana, or “416 – VDM, Germany, AC578000 Penner” for Esther. The Fund sends you a US tax receipt.
For regular giving, the Fund accepts automatic bill pay from your bank. Call (215) 362-6611 or email dmsmf@verizon.net to get a donor number first. The Fund passes gifts on to the VDM at the beginning of the following month, so please allow a few weeks.
Why does my support go through the VDM?
The missionaries behind Pulse, Esther Penner, and Andy and Ana Fronius, are sent out through the VDM (Vereinigte Deutsche Missionshilfe), a mission organization in Germany that manages their support. You can give online directly on the VDM page of Andy or Esther (the pages are in German), and you can change or stop your support yourself at any time through the standing order at your bank.
Can I also give directly to Pulse Ministries gGmbH?
Yes. Since 26 August 2026, Pulse Ministries gGmbH has been entered in the German commercial register (Amtsgericht Darmstadt, HRB 109816), and on 10 September 2026 the Darmstadt tax office confirmed its charitable status. Gifts to the gGmbH carry the organization: servers and hosting, tools like the finder, the language versions, printing and shipping. Gifts through the VDM carry the people behind it, Andy, Ana and Esther. Both belong together; if in doubt, choose the VDM.
Donation account of the organization: Pulse Ministries gGmbH, IBAN DE65 3506 0190 1000 1310 12, BIC GENODED1DKD (KD-Bank, Germany). Payment reference: “Donation” and your address. You receive a German donation receipt once a year, at the beginning of the following year, as a collective receipt.
What do the payment details mean?
The payment reference is the missionary number: “Andy Fronius AC670000” for Andy and Ana, “Esther Penner AC578000” for Esther. It tells the VDM whose ministry your gift supports; your gift goes directly to that missionary. In the card above you choose who you support by clicking the photo. With your first gift, add your address to the payment reference so the VDM can send you a donation receipt.
Will I get a donation receipt?
The VDM is recognized as a charitable organization in Germany and automatically issues a German donation receipt (Zuwendungsbestätigung). If you pay income tax in Germany, you can use it for your tax return. For donors in other countries, a German receipt is usually not tax-deductible; if in doubt, ask a tax advisor where you live. Donors in the US who give through the D. M. Stearns Missionary Fund receive a US tax receipt from the Fund.
Can I give from outside Germany?
Yes. The VDM account is a German euro account. From anywhere in the euro area you send a SEPA transfer in euros, like any payment to a bank in the euro area, usually at the cost of a domestic transfer. From other countries you send an international transfer in euros; ask your bank about the fee, or give online on the VDM page, which takes card payments. From the US there is a tax-deductible route through a partner fund, see “Can I give from the US?” above.
