Group: 8+ · Where: Indoors · Materials: chairs, music · Skills: reaction, attention

All the students huddle up close in a circle, arms around each other, heads down, and slowly turn while the music plays. Meanwhile the leaders hide chairs around the room: on tables, behind curtains, stacked inside each other. Everything stays visible, just hard to reach.

When the music stops, everyone sprints off, finds a chair and sits down. Whoever doesn’t get one is out.

The trick against the usual elimination frustration: whoever is out switches sides and helps hide chairs from now on. The eliminated players love it, and the more helpers there are, the sneakier the hiding spots get. At the very end, when only two are left fighting over one chair, a leader can pull the chair away at the last second.
