Rock, paper, scissors with full-body commitment, and the perfect pick for teenagers who “absolutely do not want to play a game”: it’s short, it’s one on one, and nobody is in the spotlight for long. You may know it as Giants, Wizards, Elves.

Two players stand back to back. On “One, two, three!” both turn around and strike one of three poses at the same time: dwarf (crouch down), giant (stretch your arms way up) or wizard (arms forward, mumbling a spell).

Giant beats dwarf, dwarf beats wizard, wizard beats giant. Whoever loses sits down, and the winner immediately looks for the next free opponent. A round only takes a few minutes, then everyone who was out simply jumps back in.

Bonus tip: let your leaders play. A few adults making complete fools of themselves during the spell lift the mood more than any rule.
